01.10.2007 - 2ND PHILOSOPHY GRADUATE CONFERENCE MARCH 29-30, 2008, CENTRAL EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY, BUDAPEST

2nd Philosophy Graduate Conference March 29-30, 2008, Central European University, Budapest

2nd Philosophy Graduate Conference
March 29-30, 2008, Central European University, Budapest

Keynote speaker:
Galen Strawson (University of Reading/CUNY)

Submission deadline:
The deadline for submissions is November 1, 2007.

Conference format:
Participating students will speak for approximately 40 minutes,
followed by a 10 minute commentary by a student or faculty member, and
a discussion period. The language of the conference is English.

Guidelines:
Papers, in an analytical style, broadly construed, can discuss any
philosophical topic or thinker. Papers should be no longer than 5,000
words (including footnotes, excluding references), and should be
accompanied by an abstract no longer than 300 words (not included in
the wordcount). The submissions will be blind reviewed, so no personal
data
should appear in the body of the paper. We prefer electronic
submission, but will also accept hard copies.

Please note that we cannot accept more than one submission per
student; also, we won't be able to consider papers which exceed the
5,000 words limit. Receipt of submissions will be confirmed by email,
and the selection's outcome will be communicated to all students as
soon as possible.
